We’re proud to have our EVP of Clinical & Operational Technology (OT), Andy Ulvenes, speaking at Boston Scientific next week! This event is exclusive to Boston Scientific’s global product security teams. We are excited for this opportunity and the chance to connect with others in the medical device security field.
In this session, HDO Expectations and Challenges with Medical Device Security, Andy Ulvenes will provide the perspective of an HDO on Medical Device Security Programs (MDSP). He will give a high-level overview of how HDOs have to approach MDSP, given the current state of inherent controls, and share the context for what it takes to develop compensating controls. He will also share the expectations HDOs have when dealing with vulnerabilities as well as incidents and walk through real-life examples of how this plays out between the HDOs and MDMs. You should walk away with a deeper understanding of the complexities HDOs have to deal with as well as the pressure, speed, and response HDOs are expecting and looking for. As the last piece, Andy will share a wish list and open a discussion of what can help HDOs in the journey to best secure medical devices in operation.
